2010 Reflections

"Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I stand in awe of the miraculous plan God has set forth in our life. I couldn't have written or predicted the story of 2010 for the Baumann's. I feel that through all the questions and transitions, God has remained faithful and true. He has shown his compassion and goodness, revealed his plan and removed obstacles and trials. I love the day to day waves and opportunities that we have been presented with. I have found ultimate comfort in Him, diving deeper into his word for answer that I would have normally found in others.
If I could break the year into quarters, I would say that the last 3-4 months is where God's plan really moved. In my perfect contentment, God shook the rafters of my heart, teaching me to trust and believe in his goodness. And then showing His reward for the faithful, in the form of a baby! After feeling completely stripped of all my worldly identities, he reminds me daily to take it one step at a time. To find my worth in Him, and to remember his faithfulness in my doubt.

"Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29: 11- 13
