“You are the God who performs miracles; You display your power among the people.”
Psalms 77:14
We are going through a series at church about supernatural miracles. It's amazing to think we serve the same God that parted the Red Sea, gave Abrahamand Sarai a child and saved Noah and his family from the flood.
Each week I have been challenging myself to look for miracles in my everyday life. Things that I take for granted or try to explain away God. It has been so faith building to witness God move in my life every day. I thought I would share with you a few examples of "yay God" moments in the last week. Whatever you are facing today, I hope you remember that God is already working to answer your prayers.
1) Mike was looking into getting quotes on sod or seed for our back yard. There are places that look very bare. A few days later, Lucy and I went for a walk. At the end of our street they are still finishing houses and in one of the dumpsters was a huge pile of sod! I walked back to the house, drove my car down to the spot and loaded up the entire trunk full of FREE SOD!
2) We were cleaning the cars on Saturday, inside and out. After we finished, Mike tried to start his car and it wouldn't turn over. I immediately thought about how much it was going to cost us to get the car towed and serviced. I forgot that about 6 months ago, we changed auto insurance carriers and they had included free road-side assistance. So the towing company came, free of charge. The super nice tow guy managed to get the car started, and determined that it was just a dirty battery connection. Just to be sure, we took the car up to the mechanic who couldn't find a thing wrong!
3) I am so proud and humbled by my husband's faith. In just the last month, he has taken charge of making Christ the center of our home and it overflows into every aspect of our life! I feel like we love each other differently, talk sweeter and give more generously. I never take for granted the effortless love we have for each other, but in the last week it seems like all I can do it love him!
All of these examples, just prove to me how much God loves me and wants the best for my life. I am so encouraged by His goodness and I feel confident to move forward without fear!!
