When 40 hours a week was enough

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men"

I had a great day today working with our VP of Operations. One thing that stood out to me in our conversations is that understanding of time management and work/life balance.
Right now, I would say I am doing a poor job of having any of that. As we are starting to gear up for our residents, my perfect 9-5 job is turning into a much larger endeavor. One that I am extremely grateful for, but one that is requiring a lot of my time and energy.

During a few minutes at lunch, I stumbled upon this verse for encouragement. While eating my grapefruit (yum!), I was thinking "Lord, what is all this for?" Then I was reminded that the work I do, whether it be for the senior community, for my co-workers, for my husband or my friends, all of these things I do under the ultimate boss.
The boss that recognizes when I go the extra mile, when I stay late, when I do the right thing, when I mess up, when I judge and blame others. My ultimate boss should be my driving reason to be great!

I am trying to put life in perspective and I know that this hectic time will pass and normality will come again. I am excited about this season in my life and know that on the other side is my reward!
