A wonderful day

What is the secret to a romantic valentine's day?

Flowers?

Food?

Well, we've got it all! I've had such a fantastic V-day weekend, I just have to share. One thing that Mike and I stress in our marriage, is remembering the little things. And as we are married longer, this rule becomes even more important. I will have know my man for seven years this March, and even after all that time, he still suprises me!
It all started yesterday morning. I had to work at 6am, so the alarm went off at 4:45 and I started my day. Little did I know that so did Mike! He got up and made me coffee. That small sacrifice spoke so much to me.
We had dinner plan at Bella Monica in Raleigh, so I came home to a clean house and a nap! Could the day get any better? We headed out and arrived at the restaurant a few minutes early. (side note: Bella Monica has a fantastic gluten free menu, the atmosphere is awesome and the service was top-notch.) They walked us to our table, and sprawled acrossed it were 2 dozen beautiful peach roses, candles and love confetti! I felt so special and I soon found out that Mike had delivered the flowers earlier in the day. He also arranged for the gluten free options and a special dessert! We sat there for almost two hours, I felt like a we were dating again.
To say that I love this boy doesn't even seem to scratch the surface. I am so blessed to grow up and grow old with this man.
Happy Valentine's Day!!! xoxoxo

Some friends of ours told us years ago that it's your decision as a couple whether or not to leave the "honeymoon stage" of marriage. It's nice to see that you and Mike are definitely still there! Your love is an inspiration for many!
