So, I'm going on my third week of my Daniel Diet and to my surprise, the results are amazing!
I have no reflex of any kind, more energy and, dare I say it, my allergies have become super mild. I haven't taken any pills except my Walatin (Generic Claritin), and I even forget to take that because I can go days without sneezing or feeling stuffy.
Here's a recap of what I've been doing..... it's pretty much a Vegan diet.
No animals products- means no meats or dairy (I do miss cheese, but have discovered soy sour cream that taste identical to the real stuff)
No flour- I am eating oats, brown rice and corn. (Oats for breakfast, tortilla chips for snacks and brown rice and corn tortillas for dinner meals)
No sugar or sugar substitutes- I did really well with this but started to drink some Crystal Lite this weekend and got bad heart burn, so no artificial sweetners, period.
Tons of fruits and veggies- I have experiemented with lots of veggies. Mike has been a trooper eating all of this. Not a big fan of spaghetti squash or eggplant. I do like fried eggplant but that's a no-no. We have also taken a few trips to the farmer's market, which is like my candy shop. The food taste so much better there, even if it cost more.
For protein, I eat lots of beans. We won't go any further on that one. :)
I'm pretty sold on this concept. It's very obvious that the things we put in our body drastically effects us. If you are pleged by some sort of allergy or ailement, I recommend this way of eating for at least 21 days. Try it and you might be a believer too!
